Bangle Bracelets: Day to Night Style

Stylistas everywhere can’t seem to get enough of bangle bracelets. So it’s no surprise that a lot of these bracelets came down the runway during fashion weeks in NY City, Paris and Milan. Designers still love these statement pieces and they’re adding new twists, fun designs and budget conscious pieces so that we can all get in on the trend.

It seems like your outfit isn’t complete anymore with the addition of at least one bangle bracelet. For summer, it was more about thin lightweight wire bangles that paired well with breezy fabrics. For fall, we’re seeing a lot of heavier bangles and new takes on our old favorites. Textured bracelets are a big hit this season, with bangles being wrapped in silk, ribbon and other feel good earthly elements. It’s great to pair these with contrasting fabrics.

For the office, a heavier gold plated enamel bracelet is just the key for brightening up classic pieces. Or, choose black enamel colored bracelets to compliment colorful dresses. These bracelets will take you from the office to happy hour with style and grace.

Earthy elements are still going this year, as wood, hammered brass and leather covered bangle bracelets take center stage. Again, texture and contrast are key, so play around with elements of soft and hard, edgy and feminine, structured and free-flowing.

Try taking summer’s bangle bracelets into fall and incorporating a few new pieces to update the look.

For example, if you have a jewelry box full of gold plated bangles, add a thick gold bangle to the mix and call it day. Nowadays, it’s more acceptable to try on piles of bangles than to leave home without one. So although you might not feel like shopping for cool weather clothes right now, you can still incorporate some of fall’s latest and greatest jewelry trends into the current mix.
